Degar Montagnards: UNHCR Alarmed by Possibility of Cambodian Deportation of Refugees

The UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) issued a statement expressing concern over recent reports stating that the Cambodian Government is trying to locate a group of Degar-Montagnards refugees from Vietnam in order to deport them. The UNHCR called upon the Cambodian authorities to respect their human rights obligations, particularly linked those liked to possible asylum seekers.
