Kosova: Minority Affairs Receives Support

Active ImageWith the financial support of the German government, the Consultative Committee on Communities, the special body that advises the president on minority affairs, will be fully operationally by the end of 2009.

President of the Republic of Kosovo Fatmir Sejdiu met on Friday [17th July 2009] with the German Ambassador Hans-Dieter Steinbach. The German Government has granted financial support for the Consultative Committee on Communities, special body advising the President of Kosovo on issues related to the minority communities.

With the financial support of the German Government this Committee is going to be fully operational by the end of this year and thus make this committee a sustainable institution in the service of all minority communities.

The Consultative Committee on Communities is a Constitutional requirement projected to increase the influence of the minority communities in the decision making process in the high levels of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.
