The educators of the […] republic of Somaliland have Friday [26 June 2009] called for the Islamist forces and the transitional government soldiers to stop the fighting in the Somali capital Mogadishu.

Bobe Yusuf Du'ale, one of the Somaliland educators called for the Somali people in the south of the Somalia to work the stability and the peace to save the dying feeble and civilians who effected the fighting continuing in the Somali capital Mogadishu.

"The weak Somali people in southern Somalia can not tolerate heavy weapons that both the warring sides are exchanging. So we are requesting from both sides to respect the people and halt the fighting. We are also requesting from both sides not to use power but use the intelligence. We urge you to sit and talk together to reach agreement," Bobe Yusuf said.

The call of the Somaliland educators comes as many traditional elders and kings from Somaliland met in Erigabo town yesterday [25 June 2009] and called for the warring parts of the Somalis in the south to halt the fighting which left more of the civilian lives.
