Abkhazia and Tbilisi have agreed at a Tuesday meeting to step up bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the response to crime in the conflict zone, primarily the Gali district of Abkhazia.

The meeting protocol says that the sides will appoint coordinators for the prevention of crime and the opening of criminal proceedings against perpetrators.

The coordinators will regularly exchange information, draft a joint action plan and supply reliable information about security in the conflict zone to the media.
