This event is organized within the framework of the 7th UNPO General Assembly, held between June 24 and 26, in which the UNPO will welcome its members to The Hague. Some of the UNPO’s 61 Members are Tibet, Chechnya, Abkhazia, Kosovo and the Ogoni people.

After the welcoming speeches in the Peace Palace, a group of around 200 people, including the delegations of our Members, will march to The Hague City Council. The March route will be: Peace Palace, Javastraat, Plein 1813, Parkstraat, Kneuterdijk, Spui, Spuiplein.

The Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization (UNPO) is a democratic, international membership organization. Its Members are indigenous peoples, occupied nations, minorities and independent states or territories who have joined together to protect their human and cultural rights, preserve their environments, and to find non-violent solutions to conflicts, which affect them.

UNPO will convene its Seventh General Assembly from 24 to 26 June 2005. 61 UNPO Members, from the Pacific and Sub-Saharan Africa to the Caucasus and Asia, will be sending their delegates to The Hague, the Netherlands under the slogan “Globalize Democracy; To Defend Human Rights and the Right to Self-Determination in a System of International Law Guarantees”. During the GA, delegates will discuss current developments concerning indigenous peoples, occupied nations, minorities and independent states, and will also take part in the March and the UNPO Football Cup.
