Tibetan artists and activists have created a new concept to tell the world about themselves through various forms of art. 

A group of Tibetan activists, musicians, singers and poets have come together with this idea where they invite various foreign tourists not only to see their art and culture but also to know about Tibet and Tibetans through art.

Similarly, these activists invite a couple of foreigner visitors to their place here in Dharmashala and try to tell them about the crisis in Tibet through various forms of their contemporary art.

Bhuchung Sonam, a Tibetan writer in-exile, says, "This is an experiment that we are doing for the last few months. This is the eighth time where musicians, poets and painters, tourists and performing artists have gathered together to express ourselves through art. Any expression is important because at this time we need to tell the story about Tibet in many different ways and this is just one of them so I think one of the most important things is if you try to relate to people based on arts and common ground."

"I think Tibet can be understood on the basis of arts, music and performing arts and painting and this relationship become a political so I think this has a last impact on how people perceive Tibetans and also Tibet as a whole," he added.

Sisa, a tourist from Colombia, says, "As a foreigner, for me this it was a beautiful opportunity to know what is happening with Tibetans in-exile, in terms of not only art but also culture, struggle and activities. When I came here for the first time I got an idea about the history and what happened in Tibet, what is going on with the people who are living in-exile especially in this place Dharamshala through their art not just about speeches but through music and through dance and poetry so this is a beautiful opportunity to know about Tibet and Tibetans.
