Crimean Tatars: Current Resettlement and Reintegration Program is Disrupted

Mustafa Jemilev has concluded that the resettlement program for the formerly deported Crimean Tatars is undervalued.

Below is an article published by the World Bulletin:

Member of Parliament of Ukraine Mustafa Jemilev intends to inform Ukrainian authorities and international community on the disruption of the State Program for resettlement and reintegration of the formerly deported citizens, reported the QHA news agency.

Earlier Jemilev sent an inquiry to the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine as for implementation in 2011-2013 of the “State Program for the resettlement and reintegration of the formerly deported Crimean Tatars and other nationalities who have returned to Ukraine, till 2015”.

In the response, the Ministry provided a table, according to which Mustafa Jemilev concluded that the implementation of the Program by the Ukrainian Government is underrated.

Having obtained the official data, Jemilev plans to meet with heads of ministries to discuss the increase of funding for the Program.

People’s Deputy Jemilev will share the obtained information with the Ukrainian authorities and the international community, that in his opinion, clearly reflect the present deplorable state of affairs regarding the return and resettlement of Crimean Tatars and other nationalities deported on ethnic grounds.
