13th June 2013, Brussels- The European Parliament's Delegation for Relations with Iraq will be hosting a meeting to discuss the situation of Ethnic Minorities and Religious Groups in Iraq.

Key speakers at the event will include:

• Two members of the Intergroup for Minorities of the Iraqi Council of

Representatives;

• Mr Kamel Zozo, Chair of the Christian Human Rights Organisation for the

Assyrian Community in Iraq ;

• Mr Delavar Ajgeiy, Head of the Mission, Kurdistan Regional Government Mission

to the European Union;

• Mr Chris Chapman, Minority Rights Group, London;

• Mrs Thirsa de Vries,  Senior Programme Officer Iraq, IKV Pax Christi, Utrecht;

• Mrs Thisvi Ekmektzoglou - Newson, Desk officer for Iraq, EEAS.
