Members from the Muslim, Christian and Kakayee communities gathered at a festival in Kurdistan to promote religious coexistence in the region.

A festival over religious coexistence in Kurdistan will be held in Zakho city, Duhok province, today [18 July 2012].
Representatives of Muslims, Christians and Kakayees will participate in the festival which is dubbed "Kurdistan Is the Cradle of Brotherhood and Coexistence", said Farman Shukur, Zakho arts and culture director.
Shukur added six academic studies will be presented in the festival.
The representatives of the dominant and minority religions in Kurdistan will also deliver their speeches about religious coexistence in Kurdistan.
