Cabinda: Adopting the Legislative Package on Media


The possibility to address the geographic asymmetries and to improve the geopolitical situation of the region is created by the initiative to adopt the legislative package on Social Communication bringing together media professionals, members of the civil society and local Government.

The Social Communication minister, Carolina Cerqueira, said Thursday in northern Cabinda province the discussion of the legislative package on media will bring together all professionals and help address geographic asymmetries.

The minister was addressing the opening of public discussions of the legislative package on Social Communication that started in Cabinda, in the presence of media professionals, members of the civil society and local Government.

She on the occasion said her department has been receiving collective and individual proposals and contributions to enrich the drafts.

The minister also hailed Angop for divulging the draft on its portal and the enthusiastic movement being promoted by the radio, television and the press at large, in disseminating the issue.

To the minister, this is very important as journalists are the main transmitters of information to the citizens.

The legislative package on the Social Communication includes the drafts on the National Communication Council, radio, television, journalist statute, publicity and concerned regulations.
