Abkhazia: Bagapsh Meets Armenian Community


Leading representatives of Abkhazia’s Armenian community have met with President Sergei Bagapsh after a week in which Yerevan extended help to the republic’s schools

Abkhazian President Sergey Bagapsh met with the leaders of the Armenian community.

The head of Armenian Community Suren Kerselyan informed the head of the state about the main ways of the community’s activities. According to Kerlesyan, the main aim of the community is to support the strengthening of the state of Abkhazia, which complete citizens they are.

The representatives of the regional organizations reported about their works on the state’s regions.

“Abkhazia has always been a country where people of various nationalities and confessions lived. Armenians of Abkhazia make their contribution to development of our statehood,” Bagapsh said in his turn.

He also pledged support to all undertakings of the Armenian community, apsnypress.info reported.
