Burma: Democracy Groups 'Joining Forces'

Aung San Suu Kyi wants opposition groups to join forces inside and outside Burma to make a common effort towards democracy in Burma.

Below is an article published by Radio Television Hong Kong:

The Burmese opposition leader, Aung San Suu Kyi, says her supporters have started work with other groups and parties that want democracy in Burma. She gave no details of the projects under way. But she said she wanted to build a network, inside and outside Burma, that would also be a safety net for people working for democracy and human rights.

Aung San Suu Kyi's party, the National League for Democracy, was formally dissolved when it boycotted an election in November that was won by the party linked to Burma's military rulers.
